The E-Rate CIPA requirements for schools has been updated and schools are now required to certify that "In addition to the existing CIPA certifications required of schools in section 254(h)(5) of the Act, the Protecting Children in the 21st Century Act requires the school, school board, local educational agency, or other authority with responsibility for administration of the school to certify that, 'as part of its Internet safety policy, [it] is educating minors about appropriate online behavior, including interacting with other individuals on social networking websites and in chat rooms and cyber-bullying awareness and response.'"
Filing Your 471 Form for 2012
The FY2012 Form 471 application filing window has not yet been announced. While we do not yet know when the window will open, it is NOT too early for you to file your Form 470 if you are not under contract for services in the upcoming year.
